Above Suspicion tells the story of one of the first FBI agents to ever be convicted of murder. The film is based on the book by Joe Sharkey, which chronicles the true events surrounding the case of Mark Putnam (Jack Huston) and his relationship with an informant named Susan Smith (Emilia Clarke).
The film centers around Susan’s struggle to leave her past behind and start a new life in Kentucky. As she begins to work with Mark, the two develop a close relationship that goes beyond their professional duties.
