It’s hard not to get swept away by the swashbuckling adventure of “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest.” This 2006 sequel to the successful “The Curse of the Black Pearl” saw Captain Jack Sparrow (played with masterful wit by Johnny Depp) facing off against the supernatural villain Davy Jones (Bill Nighy), all while on a quest to find the fabled Dead Man’s Chest and save himself from servitude aboard Jones’ ghostly ship, The Flying Dutchman.
The film opens with an electrifying scene of a village being attacked by Davy Jones’ crew, setting the tone for a movie full of intense action sequences.
